DGP CV Anand asks SPs, CPs to stay in districts

Hyderabad: DGP CV Anand instructed all district SPs and CPs not to travel to Hyderabad after assuming charge as the new Telangana police chief.

Usually, police officers from districts visit Hyderabad to meet the newly appointed DGP after assuming office. However, DGP CV Anand decided to end the practice and issued fresh administrative directions.

CV Anand instructed all SPs and CPs to remain present in their respective offices on Thursday morning. He also directed officials to continue supervising law and order in their assigned districts.

The DGP advised officers to avoid unnecessary travel and focus on field-level policing responsibilities. Meanwhile, he assured officials that he would personally meet them at a suitable time.

DGP CV Anand prioritises district administration

CV Anand stressed the importance of discipline and uninterrupted policing across Telangana.

Senior police officials said the latest instructions reflected the new DGP’s emphasis on administrative efficiency and responsibility-driven policing.

The directions also highlighted his focus on strengthening district-level administration and ensuring continuous monitoring of law and order situations.
