Hyderabad: Shivadhar Reddy’s appointment as Telangana State Security Advisor was approved by the state government for a period of three years after his retirement as Director General of Police.
According to the government order, Shivadhar Reddy will advise the government on matters related to police administration, law and order, internal security, crime control, narcotics control, and road safety.
The government granted him the status and rank of Chief Secretary. Meanwhile, he will receive a fixed remuneration of Rs 2.25 lakh per month.
The order also stated that he would be entitled to office accommodation and rent-free housing. Alternatively, the government will provide a house rent allowance of Rs 50,000 per month.
Shivadhar Reddy’s appointment includes official staff support
The government also approved TA and DA facilities applicable before his retirement. In addition, medical reimbursement facilities equivalent to those of AIS officers will continue for him.
Officials said the government would provide an official vehicle and dedicated staff support for the State Security Advisor’s office. The approved staff includes one OSD, one private secretary, one personal assistant, two drivers, and four office subordinates.
The Home Department will bear all expenditure related to the appointment from its regular budget, according to the government order issued by Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao.
