CS reviews arrangements for PM visit in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao directed officials to ensure foolproof PM visit arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit on May 10.

He reviewed preparedness at a Secretariat meeting on Tuesday. The Prime Minister will inaugurate projects and address a public meeting.

The Chief Secretary asked all departments to coordinate closely. He also stressed comprehensive PM visit arrangements across all venues.

PM visit arrangements reviewed

He instructed the police department to manage security, law and order, and traffic. He also insisted on strict Blue Book protocol compliance.

Further, fire services officials must deploy adequate fire tenders. They will station them at Begumpet Airport, helipads, and event venues.

The health department must provide necessary medical facilities. Meanwhile, officials must remain alert throughout the visit.

At the same time, police, GHMC, and Roads and Buildings teams must inspect convoy routes. They must complete repairs on a war footing.

Additionally, the electricity department must ensure uninterrupted power supply. It will cover all areas linked to the visit.

The Chief Secretary emphasised close coordination among departments. Therefore, he said it was essential for smooth PM visit arrangement.

Senior officials attended the meeting, including DGP C. V. Anand. Several Special Chief Secretaries also joined the review.

Home Secretary Shikha Goel and Intelligence ADG Anil Kumar attended the meeting. Police Commissioners and civic officials also took part.
