Hyderabad: Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha said Dr MCR TIMS was ready to provide medical services. He said the hospital would soon open to the public.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will inaugurate the hospital, the Minister said. Meanwhile, Damodar Rajanarsimha inspected the facility on Saturday to review the launch preparations.
The Minister visited the A, B and C blocks during the inspection. He also interacted with doctors, medical staff and employees. Further, he sought details about hospital services and other arrangements.
Damodar Rajanarsimha reviewed the remaining works with officials from the Health and R&B departments. Moreover, he directed officials to complete all pending works on a war footing before the inauguration.
Dr MCR TIMS to offer super-specialty healthcare
The Minister asked officials to make every system operational before the launch. In addition, he reviewed medical services, infrastructure and staffing arrangements.
His review covered non-medical services, electricity, water supply, sanitation, security and fire safety. He also sought details about other support systems required for hospital operations.
Damodar Rajanarsimha asked officials to ensure enough doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, technicians and administrative personnel. Similarly, he directed teams to keep all support services available without interruption.
The Minister said the government was developing Dr MCR TIMS as a leading centre for advanced government healthcare. The hospital will have modern medical equipment and upgraded infrastructure.
The facility will offer super-specialty care, critical care and emergency treatment. In addition, it will provide organ transplantation services.
Damodar Rajanarsimha said the government was developing the hospital in line with the Chief Minister’s vision. The aim was to provide corporate-level healthcare through government hospitals.
Once the facility becomes fully operational, it will help reduce pressure on major government hospitals in Hyderabad. It will also give more patients access to super-specialty treatment.
“Dr MCR TIMS is ready to provide quality and advanced medical services to the public. We are completing the remaining arrangements quickly. The hospital will soon be inaugurated by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and opened to the public,” Damodar Rajanarsimha said.
He added that officials were preparing every department to provide the best possible services from the opening day.
Health department Principal Secretary Dr Christina Z. Chongthu, Dr MCR TIMS Director Dr Narendra Kumar, NIMS Director Dr Rahul Devaraj and Medical Education Director Dr Vani attended the inspection.
Senior officials from the Health and R&B departments also participated. Doctors, officials and staff of TIMS were present at the programme.
