Hyderabad: Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha directed officials to complete the Warangal super specialty hospital on a war footing.
He asked officials to make the facility ready for medical services by December. He issued the directions during a review meeting at the Secretariat on Saturday.
The Minister reviewed construction progress at TIMS Alwal, TIMS LB Nagar and the Warangal hospital. He asked officials to complete all pending works at Warangal by the end of October.
Officials must then conduct trial runs from November. The Minister said the hospital should become ready for its planned launch in December.
Construction agency representatives said the Warangal hospital had reached its final stage. R&B officials also confirmed the progress.
They said all construction works would finish by October. Equipment installation is also underway at the facility.
The installation includes X-ray and CT scan equipment. Officials said the equipment work would conclude in September.
Warangal super specialty hospital preparations reviewed
Rajanarsimha asked officials to use the experience of Dr Marri Chenna Reddy TIMS while preparing the Warangal super specialty hospital.
He also directed an expert doctors’ committee to visit the facility every 15 days. The committee should provide technical guidance during the final preparations.
The committee must coordinate with R&B officials and the construction agency. It should also help prepare the hospital for medical services.
The Minister directed officials to complete water and sanitation works. He also asked them to finish all other essential facilities.
Rajanarsimha asked senior officials to monitor the project regularly. He directed the R&B Special Chief Secretary and Health Department Principal Secretary to conduct regular reviews.
He also asked them to visit the project site. They must directly monitor construction and related works.
Officials informed the Minister about the other TIMS projects. They said TIMS Alwal would complete its works by the end of this year.
They also said TIMS LB Nagar would complete its works by March 2027.
Special Chief Secretary Vikas Raj attended the meeting. Principal Secretary Christina Z. Chongthu also participated.
TGMSIDC MD Gaurav Uppal and Health and Family Welfare Commissioner Dr Sangeeta Satyanarayana attended. Dr Narendra Kumar, Director of Dr MCR TIMS, was also present.
Hyderabad Collector Priyanka and Medchal-Malkajgiri Collector Manu Chowdary attended the review. Ranga Reddy Additional Collector Kiranmayi also participated.
Senior R&B and Health Department officials joined the meeting. Representatives of the construction agencies also attended.
