Revanth Reddy orders faster work on major hospital projects

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed officials to speed up major hospital projects in Hyderabad and Warangal. He reviewed the projects during a meeting with CMO officials on Saturday. The projects included TIMS hospitals at LB Nagar and Alwal. He also reviewed the Warangal super-specialty hospital and the new Osmania General Hospital in Hyderabad.

Revanth Reddy directed Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju to assess staffing needs at the new hospitals. These requirements included doctors and support staff. He also ordered officials to begin the recruitment process in advance. The move aimed to prevent staff shortages when the hospitals were completed.

Meanwhile, officials reviewed plans to procure state-of-the-art medical equipment. They also discussed comprehensive medical services that would be available after the hospitals became operational.

Major hospital projects staffing reviewed

The Chief Minister also examined ground-level conditions in the education and healthcare sectors across Telangana. He directed district Collectors to undertake regular field visits. In addition, Collectors and other officials were asked to visit government schools, social welfare hostels and hospitals regularly.

Revanth Reddy called for weekly district-level reviews of facilities in government schools. He also sought vigilance against seasonal diseases across the districts. Officials were directed to complete necessary repairs in schools without delay. The review formed part of broader instructions covering public education and healthcare services. The meeting also assessed progress on the major hospital projects and preparations needed before their completion.

Global Summit preparations discussed

CMO officials also briefed Revanth Reddy on arrangements for the Telangana Global Summit-2026. The summit was scheduled at Bharat Future City in December. The Chief Minister said he would personally inspect the arrangements soon. He directed officials to prepare detailed plans for the event.

These plans were to cover summit arrangements, participating guests and proposed investments. MP Vem Narendar Reddy attended the meeting. Government Advisor Ramakrishna Rao and Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju were also present. DGP CV Anand and senior CMO officials also participated in the review meeting.
