Hyderabad: BRS leaders and party workers staged a protest in Nagarkurnool over the Bhagirath arrest delay and demanded immediate action against the son of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay.
The protesters submitted a representation near the statue of Dr B.R. Ambedkar and accused police of delaying the arrest despite registering a case against Bhagirath.
They alleged that Union Minister Bandi Sanjay and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy were jointly attempting to weaken the case. According to the protesters, both leaders were trying to protect the accused instead of ensuring justice for the minor girl.
The BRS leaders questioned whether the government was following different standards for poor and influential people in the state.
