Hyderabad: Telangana Rakshana Sena president Kavitha criticised the Centre over Telangana issues and raised questions over the handling of allegations linked to Union Minister Bandi Sanjay’s family.
Kavitha said Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Telangana and spoke about financial discipline while extending financial support to Andhra Pradesh.
She said Bandi Sanjay should not have shared the stage with the Prime Minister during the visit as his family members were facing allegations.
Kavitha alleged that the minister’s participation in the programme sent wrong signals to the public.
Kavitha raises Telangana and reservation issues
Kavitha demanded that Telangana police issue lookout notices to prevent Bandi Sanjay’s son from leaving the country.
She also demanded that the Union Minister resign if allegations against his son were proven.
The Telangana Rakshana Sena president sought action against those sharing videos related to the victim on social media.
She asked police to block such social media accounts immediately.
Kavitha criticised Prime Minister Modi for not speaking about BC reservations during the Telangana visit.
She demanded national project status for the Palamuru-Rangareddy project and urged Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to write to the Centre on the issue.
Kavitha said Andhra Pradesh was effectively utilising its water resources while Telangana lagged behind.
She announced that Telangana Rakshana Sena would establish a Water Commission if voted to power.
Kavitha also demanded an OBC column in the caste census and said the party would campaign across the country for 50 percent BC reservations.
She said the party would file writ petitions on the Polavaram and Banakacherla projects.
The TRS president also urged the Centre to seriously address national examination paper leak incidents such as NEET.
