Hyderabad: BJP National President Nitin Nabin on Monday said BJP Telangana 2028 remained the party’s primary political objective, asserting that the BJP aimed to form a “double-engine government” in the state after the next Assembly elections. He claimed the BJP had emerged as the principal alternative to the Congress and the BRS in Telangana.
Addressing a Booth Presidents’ Conference in Warangal, Nabin credited grassroots workers for the party’s expansion and urged them to strengthen every polling booth, enrol new voters and take Central government welfare schemes to every household.
He said Telangana shared a historic relationship with the BJP and recalled the party’s support for the statehood movement. He also referred to the role played by late leader Sushma Swaraj in Parliament during the Telangana statehood process.

Nabin urged party workers to connect every section of society with the BJP. He said the party should become a platform for the aspirations of all communities and described BJP workers as full-time public servants dedicated to serving people.
Criticising Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Nabin described him as a “part-time politician.” He contrasted that with BJP workers, whom he said remained engaged with the public throughout the year.
The BJP president also claimed that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership over the past 12 years, India had responded firmly to security threats through measures such as surgical strikes and air strikes.
Launching an attack on the Congress and the BRS, Nabin alleged that both parties promoted dynastic politics and had failed to fulfil the aspirations behind Telangana’s formation. He also accused the Congress government of neglecting public welfare.
Nabin said the BJP believed in development-oriented politics rather than vote-bank politics. He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to nationalism, public service and inclusive growth under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He urged party cadres to work towards building a “Viksit Telangana” and “Viksit Warangal” and expressed confidence that the BJP would form the government in Telangana in 2028.
