Traffic curbs near IIIT Junction to begin from July 1

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Traffic Police will impose IIIT Junction traffic curbs from July 1 to facilitate the construction of a multi-level flyover and underpass. The restrictions will affect a key stretch between DLF Gate No. 1 and the Gachibowli Traffic Police Station for three months.

Police said the construction work is expected to continue for about a year. However, the initial road closure has been planned for three months to accelerate the project.

IIIT Junction traffic curbs and diversions

Traffic moving from Radisson Hotel towards IIIT Junction will be allowed only up to DLF Gate No. 1. Thereafter, vehicles will be diverted through Gachibowli Junction and Indiranagar.

Similarly, vehicles travelling from Lingampally towards DLF Road will be diverted at the Gachibowli Traffic Police Station. They will pass through IIIT Junction, Gachibowli Junction and Radisson Junction.

Cyberabad Traffic Police said employees using the TCS Non-SEZ (CMC) gate would continue to have normal access during the construction period.

Meanwhile, commuters, particularly IT employees, have been advised to use alternative routes and plan their journeys in advance. Police also cautioned that traffic congestion is likely around IIIT Junction while the project is underway.
