Hyderabad: Minority Welfare and Public Enterprises Minister Mohammed Azharuddin invited BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), T. Harish Rao and other former ministers for an open discussion on the Gurukul allegations. He said a public debate based on facts and evidence would be the most appropriate democratic platform to address the corruption claims.
According to the Minister, the government was ready to explain the entire procurement process and respond to every allegation with factual evidence. He urged elected public representatives to participate in the discussion instead of pursuing litigation.
Gurukul allegations take centre stage at Gun Park
Speaking at Gun Park, Azharuddin said Telangana was earning recognition through the development initiatives of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. Meanwhile, he said the government had given top priority to education and remained committed to strengthening the sector and creating better opportunities for students.
Further, the Minister reiterated his support for the Chief Minister’s education and welfare initiatives. He also said empowering girls through quality education and equal opportunities remained one of his personal missions.
Additionally, Azharuddin challenged the BRS leadership to participate in a fact-based discussion on the allegations concerning Gurukul institutions. He said the government was prepared to explain the entire procurement process with facts and evidence before the people.
Along with Azharuddin, Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Adluri Laxman Kumar joined the programme at Gun Park. Rajya Sabha MP Anil Kumar Yadav, MLAs Danam Nagender, V. Naveen Yadav and Mettu Sai Kumar, District Congress Committee presidents and other Congress leaders also participated.
