Meanwhile, KTR credited former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s leadership for the state’s economic transformation. He said Telangana had grown from a financially backward region into one of India’s wealthiest states during the BRS government’s tenure.
Further, KTR said the state’s progress reflected the hard work, skills and intelligence of its people. He congratulated every citizen who contributed to Telangana’s growth over the past decade.
The BRS leader also criticised those who described Telangana as financially bankrupt. Additionally, he said the latest World Bank report gave a strong reply to such criticism. According to KTR, both national and international institutions had acknowledged Telangana’s economic progress.
He also said Telangana’s rising income levels showed the benefits of statehood. Finally, KTR maintained that the state’s economic achievements were the result of the development model adopted during the KCR government’s tenure.
