KCR appoints Vaddiraju Ravichandra as BRS Rajya Sabha floor leader

Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Thursday appointed Vaddiraju Ravichandra as the party’s Parliamentary Party leader and floor leader in the Rajya Sabha.

Ravichandra succeeded K.R. Suresh Reddy, whose term as Rajya Sabha member concluded. Previously, Ravichandra served as the party’s deputy floor leader in the Upper House.

The appointment comes during Ravichandra’s second term as a Rajya Sabha member, which will continue until April 2030. Moreover, the BRS leadership acknowledged his contributions to the party and his advocacy for Backward Classes (BC) communities.

He also serves on the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Petroleum and Natural Gas. In addition, he is a member of the Consultative Committee of the Ministry of Coal and Mines.

Vaddiraju Ravichandra vows to raise Telangana issues in Parliament

After the announcement, Ravichandra thanked K. Chandrashekhar Rao and BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao for entrusting him with the responsibility. He said he would strongly raise Telangana’s concerns in Parliament while working to further strengthen the party.
