KTR to sponsor education of 50 underprivileged women

Hyderabad: BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao on Friday announced that he would personally sponsor the education and empowerment of 50 economically disadvantaged young women from this year to mark his upcoming 50th birthday.

Speaking as the chief guest at the SPARSA 2026 annual meeting at JRC Convention in Film Nagar, KTR praised the organisation for transforming lives through women’s education, skill development and employment generation.

Amala Akkineni attended the event as the guest of honour.

KTR education sponsorship backs women’s empowerment

KTR commended SPARSA for its efforts to improve the economic and social status of women. He said the organisation’s work in education, skill development and employment deserved appreciation.

Moreover, he described support for underprivileged people as a social responsibility. He also assured continued support for initiatives that promote women’s education, economic independence and social empowerment.

The BRS leader said the KTR education sponsorship programme would benefit 50 young women from economically weaker backgrounds and strengthen their educational opportunities.
