Hyderabad: Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla said the Inclusive growth Viksit Bharat vision depended on equal opportunities and social justice during a programme in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
He said inclusive growth remained central to building a just and progressive society. He added that this approach was essential to realise the goal of a developed India by 2047.
The Governor attended the valedictory of Social Empowerment Week at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University in Jubilee Hills. During the event, he distributed Jyothi Reddy Foundation Fellowships to 374 tribal and transgender students pursuing courses at the university.
Addressing the gathering, he appreciated the SAMATHA and NIPUNA initiatives. He said these programmes promoted social empowerment, skill development and equal access to education. Moreover, he linked these efforts to the broader Inclusive growth Viksit Bharat framework.
He noted that April marked the birth anniversaries of Babu Jagjivan Ram, Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and B. R. Ambedkar. He said their ideals continued to guide efforts to uplift marginalised communities.

The Governor described the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam as a historic reform. He said it reserved 33 percent of seats for women in the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies. According to him, this move strengthened women’s participation in governance.
He also referred to the development of Panchteerth under the leadership of Narendra Modi. He said these sites honoured the legacy of Dr. Ambedkar and preserved his contributions.
Outlining the roadmap for Inclusive growth Viksit Bharat, he said the Centre focused on economic growth and good governance. He added that environmental sustainability remained a key pillar. In addition, he said the government prioritised empowerment of youth, women, farmers and the poor.

The Governor urged students to set clear goals aligned with their interests. He said consistent effort remained essential for success. Therefore, he encouraged them to work with discipline and determination.
He concluded by recalling the message of Swami Vivekananda. He quoted, “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached,” to motivate students.
Deputy Chairman of the Telangana Legislative Council Banda Prakash attended the event. BRAOU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani was present. Commissioner of Collegiate Education Sridevasena also attended. Jyothi Reddy Foundation Chairperson Dudipala Jyothi Reddy, Director Prof. G. Pushpa Chakrapani, Registrar Dr. L. Vijaya Krishna Reddy and Joint Secretary to the Governor Shri Shahikirana Chary were present.
