Hyderabad: Minister for Minorities Welfare and Public Enterprises Mohammed Azharuddin reviewed arrangements for the Chief Minister’s felicitation of minority toppers on August 13.
Azharuddin held a high-level review meeting at the Telangana Secretariat on Wednesday. During the meeting, he directed officials to ensure smooth and systematic arrangements.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will felicitate meritorious students from minority communities who excelled in Group-I, Group-II, IIT-JEE, EAPCET and other competitive examinations.
The programme will also honour toppers from the Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TGMREIS) in SSC and Intermediate examinations.
Meanwhile, Azharuddin reviewed preparations with senior officials. He asked the departments concerned to provide necessary facilities for students, their families and guests.
The Minister stressed the importance of recognising academic achievement among minority students. He said the success of the toppers would encourage more young people to pursue higher education and competitive examinations.
He also emphasised close coordination among departments. Therefore, officials must ensure proper security, traffic management, sanitation, medical assistance and fire safety during the event.

Azharuddin also directed officials to address civic amenities and other logistical requirements. At the same time, he asked them to coordinate their work to avoid inconvenience during the programme.
The Minister said the achievements of the students deserved recognition and encouragement. Moreover, he said their performance could motivate other students to pursue academic and competitive goals with confidence.
Advisor to the Telangana Government Mohammed Ali Shabbir, TGMREIS president Faheem Qureshi, Minorities Welfare Department Secretary B. Shafiullah, IFS, Principal Secretary Ahmed Nadeem and other senior officials attended the meeting.
The Minorities Welfare Department is coordinating arrangements for the event. In addition, officials are working to ensure that the programme recognises the academic achievements, talent and aspirations of minority students.
