Hyderabad: Roads and Buildings and Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy provided ₹2 lakh in medical aid for child treatment to a couple from Panigiri village.
Jampala Mahesh Kumar and Rajitha, who both had hearing and speech impairments, sought support for their child’s medical treatment. The parents faced financial difficulties after learning that their child also had hearing and speech impairments.
Medical experts had informed the family that proper treatment could potentially help the child develop the ability to speak. However, the treatment was expected to cost several lakh rupees, which the family could not afford. After learning about their situation, Venkat Reddy met the family and provided ₹2 lakh for the child’s immediate medical requirements.
Medical aid for child followed treatment concerns
The Minister also spoke with the parents and assured them of further support for the child’s treatment. Venkat Reddy said he would personally contact medical professionals to help facilitate comprehensive care for the child.
The family had been facing both financial and emotional difficulties while seeking treatment. Therefore, the ₹2 lakh assistance was intended to address immediate medical expenses. The Minister’s medical aid for child treatment came after he was informed about the family’s inability to meet the multi-lakh treatment cost.
Venkat Reddy also assured Mahesh Kumar and Rajitha that he would remain involved in efforts to arrange the required medical care. The assistance was provided directly to the couple for their child’s treatment needs.
