Food Safety Department issues improvement notice to Antera Kitchen & Bar

Hyderabad: Food Safety Officers of the Commissioner of Food Safety (CMC) inspected Antera Kitchen & Bar in Madinaguda to assess compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. Officials later issued an Improvement Notice to address minor deficiencies identified during the inspection.

The inspection found several good food safety practices at the establishment. Officials noted the availability of a Total Polar Compounds (TPC) meter to monitor cooking oil quality and confirmed that staff used a probe thermometer.

Inspectors also verified records related to medical fitness, food and water testing, packaging, pest control, equipment calibration and the RUCO programme. In addition, food handlers had completed FoSTaC training.

The inspection found that the establishment used pallets for proper storage. Officials also observed protective mesh on kitchen doors and in the non-vegetarian cutting area. Furthermore, all food items carried proper labels.

Despite the high compliance level, officials identified two areas that required improvement. They directed the management to install proper self-closing mechanisms on the kitchen and store room doors. They also asked staff to increase the cleaning frequency behind cooking stoves.

Antera Kitchen & Bar scored 100 out of 106 points, achieving a FoSCoS compliance score of 94%. Officials issued an Improvement Notice to ensure corrective measures and continued compliance with food safety standards.
