Hyderabad: CMC Food Safety Officers recorded a 93% FoSCoS score during a Palle Vindhu food safety inspection in Hitech City. Officials found several good hygiene practices while flagging two areas that required improvement. The establishment scored 102 out of a possible 110 points during the inspection.
Food handlers used hairnets and aprons, while the establishment maintained water testing records and medical fitness certificates. Moreover, inspectors found no use of synthetic colours or Ajinomoto. The restaurant had also deployed FOSTAC supervisors to oversee food safety practices.
Palle Vindhu food safety practices meet key standards
Inspectors found no stored, stale or expired food at the establishment. In addition, the restaurant followed proper pest control practices and maintained the related records. Officials also found that the establishment followed regular cleaning schedules. Meanwhile, staff had properly labelled raw materials stored on the premises.
The Palle Vindhu food safety inspection also examined the wash area. Officials found an uneven surface that caused water to accumulate at some points. Furthermore, inspectors advised the establishment to install mesh over the drain.
These were the main areas requiring improvement during the inspection. The remaining observations included several positive food hygiene and safety practices.
CMC Food Safety Officers advised the establishment to correct the deficiencies identified during the inspection. In particular, Palle Vindhu needed to address water accumulation in the wash area and install the required drain mesh.
At the same time, officials asked the establishment to continue maintaining its existing food safety and hygiene standards. The Palle Vindhu food safety assessment resulted in a final FoSCoS score of 102/110, equivalent to 93%.
