Hyderabad: Food Safety Officers of the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) conducted a Food safety inspection at the Domino’s Pizza outlet operated by Jubilant Food Works in MGSR Chamber, Gajularamaram. The inspection assessed compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
Officials observed several good food practices during the inspection. Food handlers wore uniforms and head caps, while staff followed the First In, First Out (FIFO) system for food storage with proper date labels.
The inspection also found that the outlet stored vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items separately. In addition, rat traps were installed, and dustbins had automatic closing lids. Officials verified that food handlers possessed valid medical fitness certificates. Moreover, FoSTaC-trained personnel were available at the premises.
Food safety inspection identifies compliance gaps
Despite the positive observations, the safety inspection identified two areas that required improvement. Officials found that the outlet had not displayed its FSSAI licence at the premises.
The inspection team also noted that pest control records and cleaning schedule registers were not maintained. Consequently, the outlet was instructed to address these deficiencies. The establishment secured a FoSCoS score of 98 out of 108, equivalent to 91%.
Following the inspection, Food Officers issued an Improvement Notice to ensure compliance with the identified observations. The notice directed the establishment to rectify the shortcomings and maintain all required food safety records.
