CS reviews Vice-President Hyderabad visit arrangements for September 17

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju reviewed arrangements for the Vice-President Hyderabad visit scheduled for September 17. He directed officials to ensure seamless administrative, security and logistical arrangements for the programme.

Jaju chaired a high-level review meeting at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat on Tuesday. Senior officials from key departments participated in the meeting to oversee preparations for Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan’s visit.

The Vice-President was scheduled to attend the Union government’s official Telangana Liberation Day celebrations as the chief guest. The Union Ministry of Culture organised the celebrations.

According to the Chief Secretary, Radhakrishnan was scheduled to land in Hyderabad at 8.30 am on September 17. He would subsequently attend the main programme at the Secunderabad Parade Grounds. The event was scheduled to begin at 9.30 am and continue until noon.

Vice-President Hyderabad visit preparations reviewed

During the review, Jaju instructed the departments concerned to coordinate arrangements for the Vice-President Hyderabad visit. He specifically sought smooth administration, security and logistics for the September 17 event.

Special Chief Secretary for General Administration Ahmed Nadeem attended the review meeting. Special Chief Secretary for Roads and Buildings Vikas Raj also participated. DGP C.V. Anand and Principal Secretary for Health and Medical Christina Chongthu attended the meeting.

Hyderabad and Malkajgiri Police Commissioners Sajjanar and Sumathi also took part in the review. Special Commissioner of the Information Department Mukunda Reddy and other officials participated as well.

The review focused on preparations ahead of the Vice-President’s arrival and his participation in the Union government’s Telangana Liberation Day programme at Parade Grounds.
