BJP alleges corruption in Congress-ruled states, targets Telangana government

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao on Tuesday alleged that Congress-ruled states had become “mines of corruption” for the party and its leaders. He claimed Congress-ruled states corruption reflected what he described as corruption becoming deeply entrenched in the party’s culture.

Addressing reporters at the BJP state office, Rao targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his “Mohabbat Ki Dukaan” slogan.

Rao alleged that while Gandhi spoke about opening a “Mohabbat Ki Dukaan,” Congress-governed states had become a “Khadaan of corruption,” or mines of corruption. He cited allegations involving Congress ministers in Karnataka and Telangana to support his charge.

Turning to Telangana, the BJP president alleged that several people in the state government faced corruption allegations. He included Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and other ministers in his accusations.

Rao also referred to Uttarakhand and alleged that examination paper leaks had occurred during an earlier Congress government. He claimed the leaks had jeopardised the futures of students. According to Rao, the issue was exposed by the personal assistant of the then Chief Minister.

He also targeted Rahul Gandhi’s “Chaatron Ki Goonj” initiative and described it as “Jhoot Ki Goonj.” Referring to the BJP’s electoral victory in Kota, Rajasthan, Rao claimed voters had rejected what he described as the Congress party’s “politics of lies.”
