Telangana tourism secures ₹7,045 crore in investments at Global Summit

Hyderabad: Telangana’s tourism sector received proposed investments worth ₹7,045 crore at the Telangana Rising Global Summit on Tuesday. These projects are expected to generate 10,000 direct and 30,000 indirect jobs across the State.

The investment commitments span luxury resorts, wellness retreats, global convention centres, and adventure tourism infrastructure. Major developments are planned at Bharat Future City and other locations.

Bharat Future City to host key hospitality and leisure hubs

Among the largest proposals, Foodlink F&B Holdings (India) Pvt. Ltd. will invest ₹3,000 crore. They aim to build an integrated global convention, trade, and exhibition centre at Bharat Future City under a Public–Private Partnership model.

Dreamvalley Golf & Resorts and Sarus Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. will each invest ₹1,000 crore. The former will develop a world-class golf destination, while the latter will establish an International Cultural Centre at the same location.

Ridhira Group will invest ₹120 crore to construct a Novotel-branded hospitality project in Yacharam, also within Bharat Future City.

Wellness, eco-tourism, and entertainment projects unveiled

Atmosphere Core Hotels (Maldives) announced a ₹800 crore plan to develop an elite international wellness retreat in Hyderabad.

Fluidra India Pvt. Ltd. (Spain) committed ₹300 crore to build an artificial beach, lagoon, and resort in Hyderabad. Meanwhile, Sri Havisha Hospitality & Infrastructure Ltd. will invest another ₹300 crore for a smart mobility wellness resort and convention centre.

Polin Group (Turkey), in partnership with Multiverse Hotels Pvt. Ltd. (Hyderabad), proposed a ₹300 crore world-class marine park and aqua tunnel in Hyderabad.

KEI Group & Associates (Kamineni Group) announced a ₹200 crore investment to build a glasshouse-greenhouse convention centre at Kismatpur Village in Gandipet.

Adventure, film tourism, and global outreach

Salam Namaste Dosa Hut Pte Ltd (Australia) and Vizag Recreation Pvt. Ltd. will invest ₹25 crore in caravan parks across Telangana. These investments aim to boost eco and adventure tourism.

The Indian Institute of Film & Animation, in partnership with IIFA Utsavam and Athens, will invest ₹550–600 crore. Their goal is to promote film tourism and creative infrastructure.

The Tony Blair Institute (London) will serve as a strategic advisor to accelerate the tourism sector. They aim to enhance Telangana’s global positioning. Additionally, ASEAN ambassadors and tourism ministries will collaborate to promote Buddhist circuits across Southeast Asia in Telangana.
