Shabbir Ali announces relief after Kamareddy fire accident

Hyderabad: Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir Ali on Tuesday announced fire accident relief and rehabilitation measures for traders affected by a blaze in Kamareddy town that destroyed 22 shops.

The fire accident, caused by a short circuit on Sunday night, gutted 22 shops belonging to 20 members at the old bus stand area on Sirisilla Road. Officials estimated losses at around Rs 35 lakh.

Shabbir Ali visited the site and inspected the damage. He provided immediate financial assistance of Rs 8,000 each to the 20 affected members as part of the fire accident relief.

He assured traders that the government would take steps for permanent rehabilitation. He also directed the District Collector, RDO and other departments to initiate measures for adequate support.

The advisor said the government would ensure proper assistance through coordinated efforts. Meanwhile, several local leaders and officials, including Municipal Chairman Ippa Umarani Srinivas and former DCC president Kailas Srinivas, were present during the visit.

Earlier, Shabbir Ali attended the Indiramma Saree Distribution Programme at a fair price shop in Kamareddy. He distributed sarees to beneficiaries under the welfare scheme.

Speaking at the event, he said the Congress government focused on the welfare of the poor. He stated that schemes aimed to support families and improve living standards.

He said initiatives like Indiramma Sarees ensured dignity for women, beyond providing clothing. He also highlighted welfare programmes such as Indiramma houses, 2BHK housing, pensions and farmer support.

Further, he said development works in Kamareddy district would be accelerated. Several public representatives, officials, party leaders and residents attended the programme.

Meanwhile, Ankam Krishna Rao was appointed as the new Congress Mandal President of Rajampet mandal. He later met Shabbir Ali and expressed gratitude.

Former president Yadava Reddy and several senior leaders, including Veeranna, Besta Chandram and others, were present during the occasion.
