Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed officials to conduct the upcoming police recruitment exams with strict security, complete transparency and enhanced vigilance. He instructed authorities to ensure that the recruitment process for 7,437 posts remained free from irregularities.
The Chief Minister convened an emergency meeting with Director General of Police C.V. Anand, senior police officials and other top officers after intelligence agencies submitted inputs on the recruitment process.
According to official sources, intelligence agencies informed the Chief Minister that certain political parties and other vested interests were allegedly attempting to disrupt the recruitment exercise.
Police recruitment exams to follow strict safeguards
Revanth Reddy instructed officials to follow all rules and procedures without any lapses. He directed them to remain vigilant during every stage of the process, including question paper preparation, printing and transportation.
He also ordered officials to strengthen security at all examination centres. In addition, he directed police to maintain special surveillance on coaching centres during the recruitment process.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister instructed authorities to prevent misinformation related to the recruitment examinations on social media and other platforms.
Police recruitment exams under cyber surveillance
Revanth Reddy directed the Cyber Crime Wing to maintain special surveillance on brokers who promise government jobs, fake websites and fraudulent social media accounts targeting job aspirants.
He also instructed the Cyber Security and Intelligence wings to remain on high alert until the recruitment process concludes.
Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister V. Sheshadri, DGP C.V. Anand, Home Department Principal Secretary Shikha Goel, Telangana Police Recruitment Board Chairman V.V. Srinivasa Rao, Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar and other senior officials attended the meeting.
