Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police imposed Section 163 restrictions around Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary Examination centres across the commissionerate limits from May 13 to 21, 2026.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner M Ramesh issued prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita to maintain public order and ensure smooth conduct of the examinations.
According to the order, gatherings of five or more persons have been prohibited within a 200-metre radius of all examination centres during the examination period. The restrictions will remain in force daily from 6.30 am to 6 pm.
Police also directed the closure of photocopy and internet centres located within a 100-metre radius of examination venues during examination hours to prevent malpractice and disturbances.
The order exempted police personnel, military staff, Home Guards on duty, Education Department flying squads, and funeral processions from the restrictions.
Section 163 restrictions remain in force till May 21
Officials said the measures were introduced to maintain peace and tranquillity around examination centres and to avoid disruptions during the conduct of the supplementary examinations.
Cyberabad Police warned that strict action would be taken against individuals violating the Section 163 restrictions during the examination period.
Authorities stated that violators would face prosecution under relevant legal provisions if found assembling near examination centres or violating prohibitory orders.
The restrictions will continue across all designated examination centres within Cyberabad Commissionerate limits until May 21, 2026.
