DGP C.V. Anand says Suraksha should connect Telangana Police with people

Hyderabad: Director General of Police (DGP) C.V. Anand has said that Suraksha should serve as a bridge between the police and the people. He made the remark while speaking at the first annual celebration of Suraksha.

Anand suggested that the police department should convey its services, sacrifices and achievements to the public. He said Suraksha should take up this role. The DGP wants the public to know about the work police officers do and the sacrifices they make.

He described that as a link that should stand between the police and the people. Its purpose, he indicated, is to bring the two sides closer through the information it shares.

Local language and realistic news

Anand also said Suraksha should have a firm grip on the local language. He added that it should carry realistic news. In his view, these two qualities would help connect the police with the people it serves.
