CM Revanth Reddy commission government accused of corruption by BJP MP Arvind

Hyderabad: BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind on Sunday accused the Revanth Reddy commission government in Telangana of institutionalising corruption and abandoning public welfare. He alleged that ruling party leaders were openly demanding commissions to issue government tokens.

BJP targets Revanth Reddy’s governance record

At a press conference, Arvind released a charge sheet on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s two-year rule. He said the government operated like a “robbery syndicate” and lacked any public service motive. “The Chief Minister does not have the slightest intention of serving the people,” he stated.

Quoting data from the National Crime Records Bureau, Arvind said 790 farmers had died by suicide in the last two years. He criticised the government for failing to deliver the promised ₹2 lakh farm loan waiver. According to him, the administration raises hopes for farmers only during election periods.

“Did Revanth Reddy become Chief Minister to play football?” he asked, attacking what he called misplaced focus. Arvind also said the state was mismanaging central funds and neglecting students in government schools. “Food poisoning cases are putting children in hospitals. Government hospitals have 50% staff vacancies,” he added.

He rejected claims of infighting within the Telangana BJP. “We are united. BJP President Ramchandra Rao is like an elder brother to me. We will work under his leadership,” he said. Arvind expressed confidence that the BJP would come to power in Telangana in the next elections.
