Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Thursday called on all Telangana MPs to rise above party lines and collectively meet the Prime Minister to press for key state-related demands, including the Centre’s nod for the 42% BC reservation bill.
Bhatti calls for united representation in Delhi
At an all-party MPs meeting held at Praja Bhavan, Bhatti urged members of Parliament to jointly seek an appointment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said the state needs a coordinated push to secure approvals on long-pending infrastructure and legislative matters.
The Deputy CM noted that the BC reservation bill, based on the findings of an EPIC survey and passed unanimously in the Telangana Assembly, is pending with the Centre after being forwarded by the Governor.

He reminded MPs that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had earlier advised all Telangana MPs, regardless of party, to form a joint front and approach the Centre for key approvals.
To support this effort, the Telangana government has established a dedicated department under the Planning Wing in New Delhi, which provides real-time data and coordination assistance to MPs during Parliament sessions.
MPs raise 47 issues across 12 ministries
MPs at the meeting highlighted 47 unresolved matters spanning 12 Union Ministries. These included concerns over the Regional Ring Road (RRR), new railway lines, airport expansion, road clearances, Polavaram submergence impact, and extending workdays under MGNREGS. Discussions also touched on semiconductor-related projects.
Medak MP Raghunandan Rao proposed that all MPs jointly meet the Prime Minister to raise critical issues like the RRR, radial roads, and the Adilabad–Patancheru railway line DPR. Nagar Kurnool MP Mallu Ravi supported the proposal and recommended sending a joint letter to the PM requesting updates on road projects and the Mahbubnagar Airport plan.
Mahabubabad MP Balram Nayak, Zaheerabad MP Suresh Shetkar, Adilabad MP Godam Nagesh, and Warangal MP Kadiyam Kavya also contributed to the discussions.
