KCR’s former OSD questioned in phone-tapping case by SIT

Hyderabad: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the phone-tapping case on Thursday questioned PS Rajasekhar Reddy. He is the former Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to ex-Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, often referred to as KCR’s ex-OSD. The questioning took place at Jubilee Hills.

SIT investigates ex-OSD’s role in surveillance operations

Reddy, who served as KCR’s ex-OSD for over a decade, was reportedly interrogated for two hours. Officials recorded his complete statement as part of the ongoing investigation into the illegal surveillance case. This case has rocked Telangana’s political landscape.

According to sources, the SIT summoned Reddy following the statement of Radha Kishan. He is the former DCP of the Task Force and one of the accused. Radha Kishan allegedly named KCR in his testimony, claiming that surveillance operations were conducted to monitor and “manage” matters concerning KCR’s ex-OSD, the former Chief Minister’s family, and close associates.

The SIT’s focus during the questioning was to verify those claims. They wanted to determine whether KCR’s ex-OSD, Rajasekhar Reddy, had any direct or indirect involvement in the operations.

The phone-tapping case remains one of the most politically sensitive probes currently underway in Telangana. Several senior officials are already under scrutiny.
