₹87 crore road development works launched in Rangareddy district

Hyderabad: State Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy launched and inaugurated Road development works worth nearly ₹87 crore in Maheshwaram and Ibrahimpatnam constituencies of Rangareddy district.

The projects are being executed under the Central Road Fund (CRF) scheme. Local public representatives, party leaders and residents welcomed the ministers during the programme.

The ministers laid the foundation stone for a 14-km double-lane road in Lemoor village of Kandukur mandal. The project carries an estimated cost of ₹38 crore. The proposed road will connect Lemoor to the Srisailam National Highway through Thimmapur and Agarmiyaguda villages.

Road development works include new double-lane projects

The ministers also laid the foundation stone for a 6.2-km double-lane road from Begumpet to Eliminedu via Madapur. The project will be taken up at an estimated cost of ₹17 crore. Officials said the road would improve connectivity between several rural habitations in the region.

In addition, the leaders inaugurated a 22-km road completed at a cost of ₹30 crore in Thimmapur village. The newly opened road stretches from RCI Gate to Meerkhanpet. It passes through Raviryala, Kongarakalan, Thimmapur, Madapur, Gummadavalli and Akula Mailaram villages.

Road development works to boost regional connectivity

Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said the projects would significantly improve transportation facilities in Maheshwaram and Ibrahimpatnam constituencies. Moreover, the upgraded road network will strengthen connectivity between rural areas and key transport corridors.

The Minister stated that the State Government is giving high priority to road infrastructure development across Telangana. He said the government aims to improve travel convenience, support economic activity and accelerate regional development through better road connectivity.

According to the Minister, investments in transportation infrastructure will help create stronger links between villages and urban centres while improving access to essential services.
