DRF teams also rescued four people trapped on the Outer Ring Road service road between Narsingi and Manchirevula. Floodwater submerged the stretch after the gates of Osman Sagar opened.
Despite barricades closing the route, a driver attempted to cross in an auto trolley carrying four others. The vehicle stalled in rising water. Police and DRF teams rushed in, pulled the passengers to safety, and dragged the trolley out with ropes and a DRF vehicle.
On Saturday, GHMC Commissioner R. V. Karnan inspected a rehabilitation centre at Government High School, Golnaka Lanka in Amberpet Circle. He instructed staff to supply food and essential items to evacuees. He also visited the bridge under construction over the Musi near Moosarambagh. Engineers told him that completed sections remained intact, while flood currents washed away centering between the P1 and P2 pillars.
