Health Minister inaugurates organ transplant centre and mother milk bank at Gandhi Hospital

Hyderabad: Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha inaugurated an organ transplant centre and a mother milk bank at Gandhi Hospital. Doctors briefed the minister on the facilities and functioning of various departments in the new unit.

The minister reviewed the infrastructure and treatment services available at the hospital. Medical teams explained the operations and specialised care facilities set up at the centre.

Organ transplant centre boosts specialised healthcare services

During the programme, the minister honoured Osmania Hospital Gastroenterology HOD Dr. Madhusudan. The doctor recently carried out a successful liver transplant surgery on an 18-month-old child at Osmania Hospital.

Damodar Raja Narasimha also met parents who delivered twin babies through IVF treatment. He congratulated the family during his visit to the hospital.

Officials said the new facilities at Gandhi Hospital would improve access to advanced treatment and specialised healthcare services in government hospitals across Telangana.
