Hyderabad woman suicide over phone recharge dispute

Hyderabad: A Hyderabad woman suicide case was reported in Jeedimetla after a dispute over a mobile phone recharge with her partner.

The woman, identified as Kiranmayi, died by suicide at her residence in Prashanth Nagar under Quthbullapur limits. Police registered a case and started an investigation following a complaint from her mother.

The Hyderabad woman suicide incident followed an argument between Kiranmayi and her partner Venkatesh, also known as Chandu. The dispute reportedly began after he did not recharge her mobile phone.

Kiranmayi had married in 2015 through a love marriage but later separated from her husband due to differences. The couple had a son, who lives with her mother.

She later completed a beautician course in Kukatpally four years ago and worked in a private company.

Hyderabad woman suicide linked to personal dispute

Kiranmayi met Venkatesh while working at the company. Their acquaintance developed into a relationship, and they lived together for the past year in Prashanth Nagar.

Two days before the incident, her mobile phone recharge expired. As she had not yet received her salary, she could not recharge it.

She asked Venkatesh for help, but he refused. The issue led to an argument between them on Friday.

Following the dispute, Kiranmayi took the extreme step when she was alone at home. She died by suicide by hanging from a ceiling fan.

Police registered a case based on her mother’s complaint and continued the investigation into the Hyderabad woman suicide case.
