CMC orders SCTP waste clearance at Prashanth Nagar

Hyderabad: The CMC Commissioner directed Ramky officials to stop garbage dumping outside the SCTP at Prashanth Nagar in Moosapet Circle and clear accumulated bulk waste from the facility.

The Commissioner issued the directions after inspecting the SCTP along with senior civic officials. The Zonal Commissioner of Kukatpally Zone and the Additional Commissioner for Sanitation accompanied the Commissioner during the inspection.

Officials reviewed waste handling and conditions around the facility. In particular, the Commissioner examined garbage being dumped outside the plant and its impact on operations.

SCTP waste clearance ordered after inspection

The Commissioner directed the Ramky in-charge to take necessary action against SAT drivers who dumped garbage outside the plant. According to the civic administration, such dumping disrupted the plant’s operations. Therefore, the Commissioner sought corrective action to prevent the practice from continuing.

The inspection also covered bulk waste accumulated at the facility. Officials found discarded items, including broken furniture and old mattresses, among the bulk waste requiring removal.

The Commissioner instructed the Ramky team to ensure timely SCTP waste clearance and prevent such material from accumulating on the premises. The directions focused on maintaining orderly conditions around the plant while allowing waste-management operations to continue without disruption.

SCTP waste clearance to include bulky items

The Ramky team was specifically asked to arrange timely lifting and clearance of broken furniture, mattresses and other bulk waste. The Commissioner said proper clearance was necessary to keep the facility premises orderly.

In addition, officials were directed to address the dumping of garbage outside the plant because it interfered with routine functioning. The inspection at Prashanth Nagar focused on operational discipline, sanitation and removal of accumulated waste.

The Commissioner directed the agency concerned to take necessary action against improper dumping while ensuring regular SCTP waste clearance. The civic officials also reviewed measures required to keep the facility functioning smoothly and its premises properly maintained.
