Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police Commissionerate imposed NEET exam restrictions around all NEET (UG)-2026 examination centres on June 21 to ensure the smooth conduct of the national-level entrance test.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Ramesh issued the orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). Under the directive, authorities will prohibit gatherings of five or more persons within a 200-metre radius of examination centres from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
NEET exam restrictions cover photocopy and internet centres
As part of the NEET exam restrictions, photocopy shops and internet centres located within 100 metres of examination venues will remain closed during the examination period.
Police said the measures aim to maintain law and order and prevent any disturbance near the centres. Furthermore, officials urged the public to cooperate with authorities and avoid unnecessary movement around examination venues during the test.
The Commissioner clarified that police personnel, military staff, Home Guards and education department flying squads are exempt from the restrictions. In addition, funeral processions will also remain exempt from the prohibitory orders.
Authorities warned that anyone violating the orders would face legal action under the relevant provisions of law. The restrictions will remain in force only for the duration of the examination on June 21.
