Hyderabad: Telangana Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar said village development remained a top priority for the state government. He asked officials and public representatives to work together to improve infrastructure in every village.
The Minister chaired a mandal-level review meeting with officials at the local MPDO office. During the meeting, he reviewed development works in all villages. He also sought details from sarpanches on the problems faced by gram panchayats.
The Minister directed officials to identify local issues without delay. Further, he instructed them to resolve the problems promptly. He also asked officials to monitor development works regularly and ensure quality standards.
Village development focuses on basic amenities
Meanwhile, Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar directed officials to take preventive measures to avoid drinking water shortages in villages. In addition, he asked health officials to remain alert during the monsoon season. They were instructed to prevent the spread of fever and other seasonal diseases. He also directed hospitals to maintain adequate stocks of essential medicines.
Additionally, the Minister stressed the need to improve sanitation in villages. He asked officials to create public awareness on cleanliness. He also urged public representatives to bring village-level issues to his notice.
Earlier, on the occasion of Guru Purnima, Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar offered special prayers at the Vijayasai Ganapati Temple in Ramabhadrunipalli village. Later, he said he prayed for the well-being of the people, timely rainfall, a good harvest and prosperity for farmers.
Mandal Special Officer Srikanth, Tahsildar Syed Nizamuddin, MPDO Prem Sagar, MPO Shashi Kumar Reddy, Mandal Medical Officer Dr Naresh, Market Committee Chairman Burra Ramulu Goud, Mandal Congress president Kadari Tirupati, party leaders, sarpanches and mandal-level officials attended the meeting.
