Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Protection Agency (HYDRAA) on Monday reclaimed 23.16 acres of government land in Neknampur, Rangareddy district, addressing the HYDRAA encroachment Neknampur issue. The land lies in a prime real estate zone and is valued at over ₹2,500 crore. The reclaimed land is a crucial step in resolving HYDRAA encroachment Neknampur concerns.
After receiving complaints from locals, HYDRAA launched a field inspection in Survey No. 20 of Neknampur village, Gandipet mandal. By addressing the encroachment in Neknampur by HYDRAA, HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath directed the operation, which included coordination with revenue and municipal officers.
Officials verified the ownership and confirmed it as state property. Following this, the team demolished illegal sheds and walls built on the site. The team’s actions further tackled issues surrounding encroachment of the HYDRAA Neknampur as they fenced the land and placed clear signboards marking it as government-owned. The encroachers reportedly used forged documents and frontmen to seize the land.
HYDRAA exposes forged claims, files police case
Investigators found that Mohammad Ibrahim had created fake records claiming to have purchased the land in 1975 from Pakala Pochayya. He then approached the court to obtain land passbooks. Revenue officials stepped in, surveyed the site, and reported the land as public property, unraveling the layers of Neknampur HYDRAA encroachment that had been present.
In 2019, Pochayya’s family also began claiming ownership. However, the forged nature of Ibrahim’s documents prompted revenue officials to file a police case at Narsingi Police Station. The case exposed multiple layers of fraudulent ownership claims, illustrating the depth of the Neknampur encroachment HYDRAA issue.
Although the encroachers tried to manipulate systems, HYDRAA acted swiftly and foiled their efforts. Addressing the complex situation of encroachment in Neknampur brought significant relief to residents who expressed gratitude for the intervention and thanked the agency for protecting public land.
They urged the government to develop the cleared area as a green zone or public park, following the successful curtailment of HYDRAA encroachment in Neknampur. Locals also appreciated Commissioner Ranganath and praised the state for empowering HYDRAA with strong enforcement authority.
