Hyderabad: Hyderabad SHE Teams secured convictions in two harassment cases during the current month based on complaints received through WhatsApp, direct petitions and social media platforms.
The cases were handled under the supervision of IPS officer V.C. Sajjanar.
Police said Chinthalapally Naveen Reddy, 30, from Karimnagar, harassed a known woman through repeated phone calls, messages and blackmail attempts.
Officials said he continued the harassment despite warnings issued by SHE Teams personnel.

In another case, Gadapa Naresh, 28, from Langerhouse in Hyderabad, harassed unknown women through repeated phone calls and social media platforms.
Police said he used Instagram, WhatsApp and Telegram to target women.
Authorities registered both cases under Section 292 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 70(c) of the Hyderabad City Police Act.
Police produced the accused before the XI Special Judicial Magistrate Court at Nampally.
The court sentenced both accused to two days of simple imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 1,050 each.
Hyderabad SHE Teams appealed to women and girls to report stalking, online harassment, blackmail and obscene communication.
