Police officials said the SIT would focus on tracing members of the gang led by Kalpana.

Investigators alleged that the gang murdered the wife of a former IPS officer in the Jubilee Hills police station limits before fleeing.

Officials said Kalpana and other accused were currently absconding.

Further, the SIT will investigate the involvement of Nepali gangs in other offences reported across Hyderabad.

Police stated that several accused involved in sensational crimes were evading arrest.

Officials said the absconding criminals were posing a major challenge to investigators.

The SIT has started continuous monitoring and intelligence-based operations to trace the suspects.
