Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Wednesday distributed House site pattas to farmers who lost land for the TGIIC Industrial Corridor project in Kodangal. The distribution followed the directions of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
Vikarabad District Collector Deepak Tiwari handed over the pattas to eligible beneficiaries from Lagacherla, Hakimpet and Polepally villages. The programme was held at Basi Reddy Function Hall in the Kodangal constituency.
The Collector said the government was committed to balancing industrial development with the welfare, rehabilitation and resettlement of affected farmers. Moreover, he said the administration had ensured transparent and time-bound distribution of pattas.
House site pattas allotted to 553 families
Officials conducted a draw of lots to allot house sites to eligible beneficiaries. In all, 432 beneficiaries received plots through the draw, while another 121 beneficiaries received direct allotments. Together, the programme benefited 553 families.
Officials completed the allotment process in 77 rounds. The beneficiaries included 175 from assigned lands in Hakimpet and 113 from patta lands in the village. Another 54 beneficiaries belonged to assigned lands in Lagacherla, while 173 came from patta lands there. A further 38 beneficiaries were from assigned lands in Polepally.
The Collector appreciated the cooperation of farmers from Lagacherla, Hakimpet, Polepally and Rotibanda Thanda. Meanwhile, he said the government had established an Integrated School Education Hub on 230 acres. He added that it would soon develop an Industrial Park to create employment opportunities.
He also said authorities had issued pattas to 501 beneficiaries under the Indiramma Housing Scheme. Further, he said the proposed radial road connecting Hyderabad and Kodangal would support the region’s long-term growth.
Superintendent of Police Sneha Mehra, Additional District Collector Venkatachari, Additional Superintendent of Police Rajesh Meena, Revenue Divisional Officer Anita, Municipal Chairman Prashanth, Agricultural Market Committee Chairman Ampayya Goud, public representatives, officials, farmers and beneficiaries attended the programme.
