Uttam Kumar Reddy directs Collectors to speed up land acquisition

Karimnagar: Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy directed Collectors to speed up pending land acquisition works. He also stressed timely compensation for displaced people and prompt completion of rehabilitation works.

The Minister issued the directions during a video conference on Friday. He said the government had approved the release of Rs. 2,800 crore for acquisition.

Uttam Kumar Reddy told officials to pay compensation to displaced people according to existing regulations. He also directed them to complete rehabilitation works without unnecessary delays.

Following the meeting, the Karimnagar Collector instructed officials to complete pending land acquisition works in a planned manner. The directions cover acquisition work linked to ongoing government requirements in the district.

Land acquisition work gets official push

Additional Collector (Revenue), RDO and SDC officials attended the video conference. Officials from the Irrigation Department and Land Acquisition Department also participated.

The review focused on completing pending acquisition processes and ensuring timely compensation. Officials were asked to coordinate their efforts and follow the prescribed procedures.

The district administration will now monitor the pending works and take steps to complete them as directed. The move is aimed at speeding up acquisition and rehabilitation processes in Karimnagar.
