Government orders IAS transfers, appoints new GHMC zonal commissioners

Hyderabad: The Telangana government issued orders transferring several IAS officers and made fresh appointments to key administrative posts. The reshuffle also covered the newly created zones under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).

As part of the changes, the government appointed Jayesh Ranjan as Special Chief Secretary for the Metropolitan Area. At the same time, it allowed him to continue as Special Chief Secretary for the Tourism Department.

Meanwhile, the government transferred Haritha from her role as Rajanna Sircilla Collector. It posted her as Secretary of the Telangana Public Service Commission. However, it retained Garima Agrawal as the Collector of Rajanna Sircilla.

In another key move, the government appointed E V Narasimha Reddy as Managing Director of the Musi River Development Corporation. This appointment aimed to strengthen river rejuvenation efforts.

Further, the government named IAS officers as zonal commissioners for the 12 newly formed GHMC zones. Through this step, it sought to improve decentralised urban governance.

Accordingly, the government posted Hemant Sahadev Rao as Zonal Commissioner of Serilingampally. Similarly, it appointed Apoorva Chauhan as Zonal Commissioner of Kukatpally. It also assigned Sandeep Sultanian to head the Quthbullapur zone.

In addition, the government named S Srinivas Reddy as Zonal Commissioner of Charminar. It posted G Mukund Reddy to Golconda. Likewise, it appointed Priyanka as Zonal Commissioner of Khairatabad.

Further, the government posted Anurag Jayanti as Zonal Commissioner of Rajendranagar. It assigned N Ravikiran to Secunderabad. It also appointed K Chandrakala as Zonal Commissioner of Shamshabad.

Finally, the government named Hemant Keshav Patil as Zonal Commissioner of LB Nagar. It appointed Sanchit Gangwar to head Malkajgiri. It also posted Radhika Gupta as Zonal Commissioner of Uppal.

Officials said the reshuffle aimed to improve coordination and administrative efficiency across the GHMC limits.
