Hyderabad: District Collector Garima Agrawal on Monday responded swiftly to the difficulties faced by two differently-abled persons and arranged Battery-operated tricycles for them immediately.
Officials identified the beneficiaries as Uppula Srinivas from Suddala village in Konaraopet mandal and Komire Parashuramulu from Gudem village in Mustabad mandal.
Both beneficiaries visited the Integrated District Offices Complex for official work. During her visit, the District Collector noticed their difficulties and personally interacted with them.
Garima Agrawal enquired about their villages and the problems affecting their daily lives. The beneficiaries explained that mobility challenges created severe hardship while travelling and attending routine work.
Therefore, the Collector immediately directed District Welfare Officer Lakshmirajam to arrange Battery-operated tricycles for both beneficiaries without delay.
Battery-operated tricycles handed over with helmets
Following the Collector’s directions, officials handed over tricycles along with helmets to the two differently-abled persons at the IDOC premises.
Moreover, officials said the assistance would help the beneficiaries travel independently and manage their daily activities more comfortably.
The beneficiaries thanked Collector Garima Agrawal for responding with compassion and extending timely support after understanding their problems.
Meanwhile, they expressed gratitude to the district administration for taking immediate action and providing the mobility support equipment.
