Uppal Ring Road traffic diversions announced for flyover works

Hyderabad: Authorities on Monday announced temporary traffic diversions and bus operation changes on the Uppal Ring Road due to flyover pillar construction for the Uppal–Narapally Elevated Corridor.

Officials shifted the existing bus stop near the Uppal GHMC Office to Nalla Cheruvu Katta for buses travelling towards Warangal, Hanumakonda and Yadagirigutta.

Passengers travelling towards these destinations must board buses from the temporary stop at Nalla Cheruvu Katta.

Authorities also closed the Uppal Ring Road stretch leading towards Warangal from Sunday morning onwards. Therefore, traffic police advised commuters to plan their travel in advance and use alternate routes.

Uppal Ring Road diversions issued for commuters

Officials instructed motorists travelling from Warangal towards Hyderabad to proceed through Uppal Bhagayath after crossing Mayfeel Hotel. Drivers must then travel towards Nagole, take the service road and make a U-turn under the flyover.

Meanwhile, commuters travelling from Hyderabad towards Warangal should take the route beside Pista House at Survey of India Junction. After that, motorists should pass through Beerappa Gadda and connect to NH-163 towards Warangal.

Authorities also issued an advisory for heavy vehicles because Uppal Bhagayath Road remains narrow for heavy traffic movement.

Therefore, buses and lorries travelling from Warangal towards Hyderabad must use the Outer Ring Road through Hayathnagar.

Similarly, vehicles travelling from Hyderabad towards Warangal should take the LB Nagar–Hayathnagar Outer Ring Road route and connect through Ghatkesar.

Finally, officials requested commuters to cooperate with police and traffic authorities to ensure smooth traffic management during the construction period.
