GHMC offers 5% rebate under property tax early bird scheme

Hyderabad: GHMC announced an early-bird property tax offer, offering a 5 per cent rebate to citizens who pay their dues before April 30, 2026.

Commissioner R.V. Karnan released the poster at a press meet held at the GHMC office. He urged property owners to utilise the offer and avoid last-minute delays.

The rebate applies only to current financial year dues and does not cover pending arrears. Moreover, officials said the initiative aims to encourage timely payments and improve civic revenue collection.

Citizens can pay property tax online through the official GHMC portal using their PTIN and registered mobile number. In addition, multiple offline options are available, including MeeSeva centres, GHMC bill collectors and Citizen Service Centres.

Officials said early payment helps taxpayers save money while ensuring hassle-free processing. Furthermore, it reduces congestion at payment centres closer to the deadline.

The Commissioner advised residents to use digital payment options such as UPI for faster transactions. He added that the civic body has streamlined systems to ensure smooth and efficient payment processing.

GHMC appealed to citizens to complete payments before the deadline and avail the rebate benefit.
