Joint inspection held for proposed KBR flyover

Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan on Wednesday conducted a joint inspection of the proposed KBR flyover project along with Traffic Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar and senior officials from multiple departments.

The inspection team included Traffic Police officials, GHMC engineers, representatives of Megha Engineering & Constructions Ltd. (MEIL), HMWSSB and the Horticulture Department.

Officials reviewed the proposed flyover alignment, traffic management plans and diversion arrangements. They also assessed utility shifting requirements, road safety measures, landscaping proposals and the overall implementation strategy.

Meanwhile, the team examined the status of utility shifting and discussed the project timeline. Officials also reviewed measures to ensure uninterrupted construction while minimising inconvenience to commuters.

Further, the inspection emphasised adherence to quality standards, safety protocols and timely completion of all pre-construction activities.

Karnan directed all departments and executing agencies to maintain close coordination. He also asked them to expedite pending clearances and resolve inter-departmental issues promptly to ensure timely completion of the project.
