Hyderabad: District Election Officer and GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan chaired the weekly review meeting on July 21 to assess the progress of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision 2026 of electoral rolls. He urged recognised political parties to extend full cooperation to ensure the revision process concluded on schedule.
Representatives of the BSP, BJP, CPM, Congress, BRS, TDP, AIMIM and AAP attended the meeting. Senior GHMC officials also participated in the review.
Special Intensive Revision 2026 review focuses on voter enrolment
During the meeting, Karnan appealed to all political parties to support the SIR 2026 exercise in the field. He asked them to direct their Booth Level Agents (BLAs) to actively assist eligible electors in submitting their Enumeration Forms at the earliest.
He said timely submission of the forms would help complete the revision process without delays and prevent a last-minute rush.
