Hyderabad: Union Minister Bandi Sanjay alleged that the Congress was staging political dramas through its protests. He said the Centre was ready to hold a discussion in Parliament on the NEET examination issue. He claimed the party was using demonstrations to divert attention from its own failures.
Addressing the media, Bandi Sanjay criticised protests by Rahul Gandhi in Delhi and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in Telangana. He alleged that the Congress no longer functioned as an effective opposition. He accused the party of using political theatrics to attract public attention. He also claimed Rahul Gandhi continued to benefit the BJP by remaining the Leader of the Opposition.
Bandi Sanjay said the BJP had no reason to target Rahul Gandhi. He claimed police detained Congress leaders because their protest outside the Prime Minister’s residence allegedly disrupted law and order.
Bandi Sanjay Congress remarks target NEET and Telangana government
Referring to the NEET issue, Bandi Sanjay Congress remarks stressed that authorities would not spare any accused person, regardless of status. He reiterated that the Centre was ready for a Parliament debate. He challenged the Congress to join the discussion instead of staging protests.
Turning to Telangana politics, Bandi Sanjay described the protests by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and state ministers as a “big joke.” He criticised Revanth Reddy for projecting Rahul Gandhi as a future Prime Minister. He also claimed the Congress had little chance of returning to power in the state.
Bandi Sanjay further alleged that the Telangana government failed to supply irrigation water and fertilisers to farmers. He claimed many farmers struggled because of those shortcomings. He also accused the government of failing to implement its six guarantees. According to him, the protests aimed to divert public attention from growing dissatisfaction. Bandi Sanjay urged the government to stop political agitations. He asked it to address farmers’ concerns and resolve public issues without delay.
