Cyberabad Traffic Police review meeting focuses on stronger traffic enforcement

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Traffic Police Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Sunpreet Singh, IPS, directed officials to strengthen traffic enforcement, improve traffic management, and enhance road safety during a review meeting with traffic officers across the Commissionerate.

The meeting assessed the overall performance of the Cyberabad Traffic Police and reviewed key aspects of enforcement and public safety. Officials examined the status of traffic enforcement drives, e-Challan realization, waterlogging-prone locations, proposals for driving licence cancellations, drunk driving cases, road accident trends, and the functioning of traffic signals and surveillance cameras.

The Joint Commissioner instructed officers to intensify enforcement measures while ensuring smoother traffic movement across the Commissionerate. He also stressed the need for timely monitoring of accident-prone locations and better coordination to improve road safety.

Cyberabad Traffic Police reviews road safety measures

During the meeting, officers discussed waterlogging hotspots that affect traffic flow during heavy rains and reviewed measures to reduce congestion. They also assessed the progress of driving licence cancellation proposals linked to serious traffic violations and examined the handling of drunk driving cases.

The review further covered the operational status of traffic signals and surveillance cameras to ensure uninterrupted traffic regulation. Officials also analysed recent road accident data to identify areas requiring targeted enforcement and preventive measures.

The meeting was attended by the DCP Traffic, Additional DCP Traffic, ACP Traffic officers, Traffic Administration Inspector, and e-Challan Inspector.
